Improving the City of Coquitlam's supply system
We completed the design and contract administration for the David Avenue Water Pump Station.
Opus DaytonKnight completed the design and contract administration for the this Water Pump Station, which is an integral part of the City of Coquitlam’s supply system. It has a capacity of 355 l/s supplying a population of 30,000.
The station was designed for a 1:465 year seismic event and required extensive retaining structures. Four vertical turbine pumps, with individual capacities of 128 l/s at 106 m of total head each, were designed to meet the ultimate demand. Variable speed drives were used to meet interim demands and address high interim system operating pressures.
